Well I haven’t written in a long time and my whole life has changed. I have a daughter that I haven’t mentioned before, she’s the best. The weight loss plan with the treadmill has been postponed due to lack of motivation. I lost 5 pounds in 2 months and still have not gained it back, so that proves that exercise works. And most importantly I’ve taken Jesus up on his offer of everlasting life. I did it on Easter Sunday and I recommend it to everyone. If you want to follow my lead go to http://www.cbn.com/stepstopeace/index.aspx (first link I found on a Google search.)
Other than that not much is new, I’ve spent the day reassembling the 1.6L turbo diesel motor that will go into our new 1990 Jetta. Actually here comes a rant. People need to stop buying new cars, if you have a car that has 100,000 Km on the odometer it is still new, I wouldn’t think about getting rid of it until it at least hits 300,000 or more. Our new car has 500,000 + KM on it and it’s our NEW car. I couldn’t imagine making payments every month. For the same price as three months of car payments I can rebuild an engine or a transmission. For one car payment I can get 4 new tires, or replace every serviceable part in the front end, or replace the entire braking system. New cars require just about as much repairs as old, and the maintenance costs are the same. If your someone who is worried about environmental concerns, why would you cause a new vehicle to be made, just think (reduce / reuse / recycle). I’m keeping my old truck (6000 pounds of material) out of the scrap yard and landfill by continuing to use it. It just makes sense.
